FRAMING OF PAINTINGS, POSTERS, PHOTOGRAPHS AND ARTIFACTS:
Hi People, as you can see we have developed yet another post which we decided would be of interest to our regulars as well as all the newbies that we hope will visit. This post is about framing primarily and some of the types of framing that we do here at Alain's Panoramics. So let's start with a few samples.

We will start with this beautifully repaired old photograph of a happily married couple. This photograph has been digitally restored and framed under glass with a triple mat board, the frame is called Italian veneered charcoal. Really classy. This photograph can also be printed with the impression of a double or even triple mat effect which can be covered with a UV film and does not need glass when framed.

This as you can see is a different type of framing job it has three pictures in the same frame. Not only that but Alain has been able to produce a special effects background mat to go behind the photographs which depicts the same characters as we have in the actual photographs themselves. This type of effect is what makes our framing special and we can do the same thing for you – you don't have to be a TV star.

I think this is a very special effect for a frame. The frame itself has been made from Fence Palings to have this wonderful result. The art work itself is a paper Tole. The finished frame is called a shadow box, which in this case is shallower than normal.
If you would like something like this done for one or more of your pieces of artwork. You will have to supply the Fence Palings as we do not stock this as a normal frame and we will prepare the wood for the frame..

This as you can see is your classic sporting memorabilia, again in a shadow box, however this one is much deeper.
At Alain's Panoramics we do not staple or glue any of the items to the mat board they are hand stitched to preserve the article in case at some time in the future you wish to reframe. Not only that but the shadow box itself is built is such a way that you can easily reopen for whatever reason could be for a damaged glass or to clean the glass.

Here we have Military Memorabilia again in a shadow box as you can see these can be custom made to suit each piece of art work.
The blank squares are for specific information regarding each medal as well as the photograph in the box

Our final item for this page at this time is another small shadow box which contains in this instance sharks teeth spear heads from one of the pacific islands. It just goes to show that almost anything can be framed and made into a spectacular piece of art work.
